Get hit by Rampage Jackson or a Sumo Wrestler?

October 23, 2008 on 1:23 am | In Football Strength Workouts, Strength Training | No Comments

FSN used to have a show called “Sports Science.” It took an indepth look at some athletic feats. Here is a classic one which dealt with the questions: What hurts more, getting hit by a small object moving fast (Rampage’s fist) or a large object moving slower (a sumo wrestler).

Possible sport application of this information:

1. In football on the Offensive and Defensive Lines, it is crucial to make a quick and powerful impact with your hands as well as bringing your feet.

Any other ideas?
