A buddy of mine, Jerry Shreck, strength coach at Bucknell University recently posted a video on how to make homemade Indian Clubs extremely simply!
Homemade Indian Clubs
Jerry helped me out a looong time ago when I first started Synergy Athletics by sending me some athlete nutrition guidelines he uses up at Bucknell. A really dedicated trainer! Find more of Jerry’s work over at his new website – VarietyTrainer.com.
Although Jerry gives me a shout out in the video, I’ll add that Matt Ladewski posted up a similar idea over at the Diesel Crew forums. Matt, Jerry, Smitty, Jedd and I have been in numerous homemade training discussions over there, picking each other’s minds!
After that discussion, and our trip to Westside Barbell, I set out to make a monster pair of Indian clubs for swinging. I made two so I could use one in each hand. I even got some shot to fill up the clubs if they were too light.
Apparently I need to measure before I guess at sizes! The Indian Clubs were so big I could only use one at a time, and that was serious work. Take a look at the picture:
Plenty of more ideas coming out soon, plus a big unveiling of some homemade equipment Jedd Johnson and I have been working on!

PS. **ANNOUNCEMENT** For those that have purchased Bull Strength please check your inboxes early next week. I will be sending you guys some great new bonuses (free) to try them out before I release them on the Bull Strength site. Stay tuned for updates!
Hey thanks for posting the video. Part two is going to be up tonight. It turned out better than I thought it would. I am on the look out for a set of plastic bowling ball pins. I think they would work well for making a few sets of light weight indian clubs.
