Getting Creative With Grip Training

January 7, 2009 on 1:34 pm | In Muscle Building Articles, Strength Training, Synergy Pictures, Unreal Strength Building | 2 Comments

Wednesday is usually our day off, but we go hang out in the gym and mess around.  Today we came up with five creative ways to use a bar end for grip training.  The first one is a thick grip for dead lifting.

Step 1 – Take end end off of an old bar and pick up a small chain.  We used the one that came with my lifting chains as the guider.

Step 2 – Stick the chain through the bar end.

Step 3 – Stick the chain through the center hole on some plated.  A good feature of this is that you can adjust the height of the pull.  Clip the chain tight for a longer pull, loose for just the top portion.

Step 4 – Grip and lift.  (Sorry, the heavy picture is fuzzy).
