As A die hard Michigan fan, I was hoping to see more training not just transitional drills they do with the camera pointing at their feet. Good footwork yeah! Good training??? As for Colorodo, the video was better but the P.C form was bad to me they didnt shoot their elbows all the way through and the clips of seeing the athlete in action was good. I actually like seeing programs that suck become good cause thats where the true essance of Great training comes from! IDK please anyone input…..am I wrong?

Coach, good points. Their PC form both had issues, primarily in the “catch” phase, including the elbows. CU’s form varied largerly from player to player, but many of them were leaning excessively backwards during the catch, putting undue stress on the lumbar spine.
Like every program, both had good and bad, but they have some great athletes and are willing to be intense in the weightroom.
Maryland has a good training video up on youtube, but it doesn’t embed, so I didn’t post it. Worth a search though!

The elbows not shooting out in the catch was the big thing I noticed. Also I dont know the reason for it but it looked like Michigan did it a lot and I saw it once or twice in the Colorado program… they swing back and forth before performing their set on the hang clean.
They also spread their feet instead of sinking to catch the weight… I have this same problem.
In terms of what video I liked more, I would have to go with Michigan… I liked how it showed functional on field training along with weight room time. Reminds people that in order to be a good football player they have to get out of the weight room every now and then and take it to the field.

I do like to see the application of strength in a sport setting as well!
