Jake came in and set a new gym record for the 13-14 year old age group yesterday. Since we have some very strong younger athletes (as seen when Nick hit 275, now up to 285 in a previous video) it is a very coveted record. Jake made the lift look very easy, and I actually had to cut him off from going any higher since he has a game on Monday. Congrats Jake!
You can see the theme of my last two posts. People with excuses are just looking for a way out. Take a serious look at why you haven’t accomplished your goals. Make a game plan and start executing it. Be proud of what you can accomplish, and most importantly be proud of not finding excuses to quit. Take a look at this Nike ad, this is how silly excuses sound…
Everyone has played on teams where some people come up with excuses. These players always have a sore foot, hip strain, bad ankle, cold, gas, tired, etc, etc. Any excuse to keep them from conditioning or perhaps it is just an excuse for not playing hard.
Watch this video and then think about how small your issues are…
Alright, I’ll be the first to admit there has been many more catches with more on the line than this one, however, this has to be one of the most athletic catches I’ve ever seen. Post some others in the response section if you want to debate it!
